Yorkshire Woodland Retreat Opens For Business
Luxury woodland retreat North Star Club, near Sancton in East Yorkshire has now opened to the public, after months of preparation and planning.
The unique retreat, set in 500 acres of native English woodland is the second outdoor venture from husband and wife team Christian and Carolyn Van Outersterp, who set up Jollydays Glamping in North Yorkshire, eight years ago.
North Star Club aims to take ‘glamping’ to the next level offering holidaymakers ruggedly cosy woodland suites each featuring a wood burning stove, a large veranda, a four-poster bed, and a spacious spa-style bathroom. What’s more, North Star Club, which will be open all year round, is promoting Yorkshire’s rich and varied heritage to holidaymakers by supporting numerous local businesses in its operation
Yorkshire Food Finder and The Star at Sancton are offering delicious hampers of locally sourced food delivered straight to the suite door, whilst The Sedborough Soap Company, based in the Yorkshire Dales, will supply luxury organic toiletries and local manufacturer Beevers, based in Whitby has handmade each of the suite’s beds.
Managing Director, Carolyn Van Outersterp said: “North Star Club has been a real labour of love for us, and we’re thrilled to see it come to fruition. Since we launched Jollydays Glamping eight years ago we’ve known the next venture needed to be something equally as unique and original, and North Star Club is just that.”
Managing Director Christian Van Outersterp added: “There is such a vast array of produce and products on our doorstep and using local suppliers has meant we’ve not only created a retreat with a strong Yorkshire personality, but also supported many great businesses along the way.”
Prices start at £100 per lodge, with two person bookings eligible for a 20% discount off list prices, so there’s no excuse not to go right ahead and book your luxury woodland retreat today.
